Hours 10 and 11 from New Mexico

Hi Kids!
Night falls on 24 Hour Comic Day...
Here's some of what Jeff is doing. If you can, blow it up. The detail is amazing.

Things are begining to slow down now. The ranks are thinning as the night draws on (get it? "draws on"-- a drawing comic reference, heh-heh)...

The music is much less cacaphonous and eyelids are getting heavy. Not mine, of course...

Hour 3 from New Mexico

Hi Kids!

Back from picking up Jake, my son, and the official photographer for 7000 B.C. 24 HCD, and on the way back we stopped by his Mom's store, Loveland Farms, New Mexico's only drive through convenience store http://www.lovelandfarmsstores.com/. She donated a whole buncha stuff, and not just chips, either. Lunch meat and cheese and two loaves of bread, and all sorts of confections for our vigil. Thanks, Melissa!

Thanks also to Starbucks on the corner of Broadway and Lomas for their kind donation of sugar and sweeteners for our coffee and teas...

As promised, I have pictures:

Here's Jeff, with the countdown for hour one...

Here's the huge, cavernous room.
The room is so big, it takes 2 shots to get it all...

More pics to come!

Hour 2 from New Mexico

Hi Kids!

Back again and I've been informed by Jeff, our event master, that we now have 37 contestants. Still working on the photos (technical difficulties, you know how it is...) and everybody's still going strong. Make that 38, another contestant, Dale from Santa Fe just walked in.

More to come!

Hour 1 from New Mexico

Hi Kids!

3 - 2 - 1! And they're off! Everywhere there is furious scribbling as our 24 HCD officially kicks off.

Fortified by bagels, cream cheese, and coffee from Winnings Coffee Co. http://www.winningcoffeeco.com/ and housed at the Harwood Art Center http://harwoodartcenter.org/ss/ we who are http://www.baaadasssscomics.com/ are all set for another fabulous 24 Hour Comic Day.

I'm Chuck and I'll be here with the play-by-play, or rather page-by-page color commentary--okay, I'll be letting you know what's going on as often as I can. I'm shooting for once an hour, but life somehow gets in the way and--well you know how it is...

We have 26 folks starting this afternoon and I'll be sending pics and other tidings as we go along...

Good luck to all the New Mexico contestants!
